David Shipp was hired as a Marketing Consultant in October 2017 and we are proud to promote David to lead our marketing team as Director of Member Services.
Jordan Truitt joins the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor Bureau team as marketing consultant and David Shipp is promoted to director of member service. Tim Jacobsen, executive director, states Jordan Truitt has been a Lake resident for many years and has proven success and experience in print and insurance sales. We look forward to Jordan joining our team and representing our member business and organizations. David Shipp was hired as a Marketing Consultant in October 2017 and we are proud to promote David to lead our marketing team as Director of Member Services.
Jordan Truitt was born in Tampa, Fla. and came to Missouri when his father received a job opportunity in the Lake area. Although living in different parts of the country at various points in his life, Jordan has spent a majority of his life in the Lake area. He graduated high school in 1998 and completed his college degree in Graphic Communications. Shortly after Jordan began working at Lake Printing, the company which his grandfather once owned but since has sold. Jordan worked in several different capacities in the printing industry, but the bulk of his time was spent in sales and customer service.
After Jordan had worked in the printing industry, he took several years off to pursue a career in music and worked on the road as a musician. After playing music professionally for several years Jordan came to work in the insurance field, working for AAA, State Farm, and Farmers Insurance in various capacities. Jordan has two sons, Jude and Benjamin.
Dave hails from upstate New York however has always had ties to Missouri as his Grandparents are from St. Charles. In 1992 David entered the Police Academy and held positions at the Riverview Gardens Police Department, the Camdenton Police Department, the Camden County Sheriff’s Department, and finishing his law enforcement career at the Lake Ozark Police Department. During David’s time with the Lake Ozark Police Department he was promoted through the ranks to sergeant, managing 10 officers. From there David went on to a management position at Hy-Vee Osage Beach before moving back to New York to be closer to his mother. While in New York for this stint David managed a technical support department for a large, family-owned business.
Since moving back in 2015 David has been immersed in the tourism side of our economy working for Celebration Cruises and Seven Springs Winery. At both positions David understood the benefit of cross promotion.
David is the father of three and grandfather of two. David values family time and looks forward to watching young ones evolve into their best selves. In his personal time he enjoys spending time outdoors and on the lake when possible with his family and friends as well as taking advantage of all the hidden treasures Lake of the Ozarks has to offer.
