A man wanted in a recent non-fatal shooting in Morgan County has been located in Arkansas.
According to a press release from the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday afternoon, they developed information on the location of Revious Hamilton.
Hamilton is accused of shooting a neighbor in the face on Bear Claw Road off of Ivy Bend Rd. on Dec. 28, 2018. The male victim identified the 50-year-old Hamilton as the subject who had shot him, but armed with a handgun, Hamilton had already left the scene on foot.
A search by multiple law enforcement agencies was not successful in locating him. Deputies, officers and state troopers performed several building, ground and two aerial searches as well as conducted saturation patrols in the days since the incident.
The sheriff’s office followed up on all information received from the onset of this investigation, the press release stated, and dedicated countless hours to the apprehension of Hamilton.
Continuing investigation revealed Hamilton was in the Bald Knob, Ark. area. Upon uncovering the information on his whereabouts, investigators contacted the White County, Ark. Sheriff’s Office and provided them with this information along with the warrant and photographs of Hamilton.
The White County department was able to identify Hamilton along with another subject on video surveillance at a business in Bald Knob, the press release stated. Familiar with the other subject, the White County authorities were able to locate him. That man provided the address where Hamilton was currently located.
White County deputies responded to the location and took Hamilton into custody without incident. He is currently being held in the White County, Ark. Detention Center and will be extradited back to Morgan County.
Hamilton was previously charged by the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office with first degree assault, a Class B felony; armed criminal action, an Unclassified felony; unlawful use of a weapon discharged into home or motor vehicle, a Class E felony; and Unlawful possession of a firearm, a Class D felony. A no-bond warrant was issued Dec. 28.
