Braedence was first reported missing on Aug. 3, 2018 after not being returned from a visitation with mom Aubrey Susan Sky Ferguson in the Camdenton area.

Missing five months now, the search for Braedence Jones continues, mainly via social media as his custodial family attempts to dig up leads on the whereabouts of the six-year-old and his non-custodial parent.

Braedence was first reported missing on Aug. 3, 2018 after not being returned from a visitation with mom Aubrey Susan Sky Ferguson in the Camdenton area. Dad Ryan lives in Bourbon, Mo.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has been investigating and have been unable to locate Braedence at any area schools or through other means.

In early December, national missing person activist Donna McIntyre helped the Jones family set up a Facebook page to find Braedence. “Help Bring Braedence Home” already has more than 3,000 likes and follows and will help continue the search for information and keep Braedence and his plight in the public eye.

McIntyre emphasized the danger of the situation for Braedence with a close associate of Ferguson’s being a felon and alleged drug user.

“Every day I write a new short case summary. Every day this needs to be addressed so people don’t forget,” said McIntyre. “I’m not bashing grandma or mom, I’m not bashing anyone, I’m just giving the true facts.”

McIntyre said anyone helping keep Braedence from authorities, helping Ferguson to stay on the run, is helping create a dangerous situation for Braedence.

Near the end of October, an endangered person advisory was issued for Braedence and a Camden County judge issued a warrant for Ferguson’s arrest for felony child abduction. Information came to light that Ferguson might be in the company of Woodrow Allen Ziegler, court-ordered not to have contact with Braedence. In this same time frame, Ferguson and Ziegler were reported being spotted together in the Iberia area, but nothing has come of the report.

That was the last reported sighting, and Braedence did not appear to be with them. Ferguson does have family in the area, but police have not at this point found Braedence with them either.

During the holiday season, Ryan Jones issued a plea for information to help bring Braedence home, but authorities have still been able to locate Braedence.

The Camden County Sheriff’s Office has added Ferguson to its Most Wanted List. Braedence is listed as missing by the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.

Any information on Braedence Jones, Ferguson or Ziegler could help locate the child. Contact the Camden County Sheriff’s Office at 573-346-2243 or call the missing person hotline 1-800-THE-LOST.
