The investigation led to the arrest of 12 different offenders for registration violations, possession of narcotics, possession of firearms and possession of child pornography.

On 11/14/2018 and 11/15/2018, The Miller County Sheriff’s Office, the United States Marshals Service, and the Lake Ozark Police Department conducted a large scale investigation involving sex offenders that are registered in Miller County. Miller County Prosecutor’s office and officers from Missouri State Probation and Parole and Mid Missouri Drug Task Force also assisted in the success of the investigation which led to the arrest of 12 different offenders for registration violations, possession of narcotics, possession of firearms and possession of child pornography. The Miller County Sheriff’s Office is currently working with the (ATF) Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms in bringing federal charges on several of the offenders. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending. Miller County Prosecutor Ben Winfrey provided support and implemented a zero tolerance violation policy for the investigation. The Miller County Sheriff would like to take a moment and thank the public and agencies involved in the investigation.
