A pair of wanted subjects from the Lake of the Ozarks area were taken into custody in Osage County Tuesday.

Dustin Whittle, 38, of Brumley and Stacy Wiesner, 36, of Iberia were apprehended near Meta Tuesday. Osage County deputies were investigating possible criminal activity in the area of County Road 551, according to a press release from the Osage County Sheriff’s Office.

During the investigation deputies stopped to talk to a local resident and observed a male and a female exit the back of the house. The pair were identified as Whittle and Wiesner who both had confirmed warrants out of Miller County.

Missouri Case.net indicates Whittle had a warrant for failure to appear in a misdemeanor second degree harassment case. Wiesner had a warrant for failure to appear in a felony drug possession case.

With mutual aid from the Miller County Sheriff’s Office, Maries County Sheriff’s Office, Cole County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a perimeter was set up, and the MSHP helicopter quickly located the two, the press release stated. They were taken into custody without further incident. Custody was transferred to the Miller County deputies on scene, and the pair was taken to the Miller County Detention Center.
