The Unit of Excellence award is given annually to MRTA Units who meet specific criteria and display extraordinary efforts to protect the retirement benefits of educators, support public schools, and volunteerism in the local community.

Camden County Retired Teachers and School Personnel was honored as an Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel (MRTA) Unit of Excellence at the MRTA Annual Meeting held on September 12, 2018.  The Missouri Retired Teachers Association and Public School Personnel is a statewide association consisting of over 27,000 members and 148 Units.  

MRTA's #1 priority is to promote and protect pensions, programs, and benefits of all public school personnel.

The Unit of Excellence award is given annually to MRTA Units who meet specific criteria and display extraordinary efforts to protect the retirement benefits of educators, support public schools, and volunteerism in the local community. The 2017 Unit of Excellence honor was extended to 59 of the 148 MRTA Units throughout the state. 

The Camden County Unit meets the second Wednesday of each month, March thru December at Camdenton First Baptist Church.  A monthly program begins at 10 a.m. followed by our business meeting.
