Lake Regional Health System announces Robin Wollard, FNP-BC, joined Lake Regional Sleep Medicine Clinic on Oct. 1. Wollard works closely with Philip Mataverde, D.O., MPH, to diagnose and treat sleep disorders, including insomnia and sleep apnea.
“We’re pleased to welcome Nurse Practitioner Robin Wollard to our sleep medicine team,” said Michael Burcham, vice president of Lake Regional Physician Practices. “Sleep is essential for health and well-being, and we want to ensure our community has access to sleep care.”
Wollard said she is looking forward to working in sleep medicine.
“What I enjoy most about health care is helping patients improve their quality of life,” she said. “As we help people get better sleep, it improves every area of their life.”
Wollard’s nursing career began in 1982. She has served as a critical care nurse, directed a cardiopulmonary rehabilitation department and served as a critical care clinical instructor. In 2009, she earned a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner degree from the University of Missouri – Columbia Sinclair School of Nursing.
“That was something I always wanted to do,” she said of continuing her education, adding she waited until her kids were older to go back to school to earn the advanced degree.
