Two teens are facing multiple charges after an alleged burglary incident in Camdenton over the weekend that reportedly included the brandishment of a handgun.

According to a press release from the Camdenton Police Department, Trenton B. Johnson, 17, of Booneville and Skyler C. England, 17, of Camdenton are each charged with burglary, harassment, possession of marijuana and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia. They were initially detained September 2, 2018, and placed on a 24-hour hold, but are now being held in lieu of a $250,000 cash-only bond.

Camdenton police officers made contact with the pair shortly before midnight Sunday on a traffic stop, according to the press release which states that officers made contact with the occupants of a brown 2002 Mazda near Big O Tires on E. US Highway 54. A bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia were allegedly observed in the car. 

As officers identified the subjects in the car as Johnson and England and spoke with the teens, the officers were notified by Dispatch of a burglary that had occurred nearby. The vehicle and suspects matched the description of Johnson and England, according to the press release. 

Meeting with the two victims of the burglary, who reside in Palm Gardens Apartments, Camdenton police officers that two suspects — believed to be Johnson and England — had entered the apartment displaying a handgun. During an ensuing confrontation, England and Johnson reportedly panicked and left the apartment.
