Missouri Secretary of State John Ashcroft made a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks on Tuesday, August 28. Two of his stops included the Osage Beach and Camdenton branches of the Camden County Library District. While visiting the Camdenton Library, Ashcroft met with Director Michael Davis and library staff. During a tour of the Camdenton facilities, Ashcroft spoke of libraries not only being education and community centers, but that "libraries are the glue that holds society together."
