If you've ever dreamed of being a reality show television star at Lake of the Ozarks, your chances just got a little better. Well, according to a recently posted casting call, if you're 'the most interesting, craziest, hottest, loudest 21+ summer vacationers ready to hit the lake' -then your chances are increasingly better.
Yes, from the production team that brought you such reality show classics as Jersey Shore, Party Down South, Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner and Tattoo Nightmares, comes- Party Cove. The new hopeful hit reality show will run on a major network, not yet announced. While crews from 495 Productions out of Burbank, California, are already in the lake area scouting out the hottest spots to film the new reality show- the response to the casting call has been huge.
"We've already had a huge interest and have heard from some people with great stories to tell," says casting agent Mike Hansen of Dorin Ofir Casting, based in Hollywood, California.
While individuals are encouraged to sign up for casting, Hansen says that groups of friends, co-workers and any Lake of the Ozarks area businesses with crazy staffs will be considered as well.
The tentative title for the new series is Party Cove, though Hansen says that name may change by the time the show airs. Filming is expected to take place all around the Lake of the Ozarks area, both on the lake and at various businesses, beginning in July and ending in August.
"The key to any good reality show is to always tell the stories of the cast members," says Hansen.
While the show is still in development, Hansen says that the series will air on a major network to be named at a later date.
As for local support, Hansen says so far everyone at the lake has responded positively to the show idea and they have been met with nothing but friendly people.
"We're really excited," says Hansen. "The film crews, casting and production teams are looking forward to exploring all of the fun and beautiful spots that Lake of the Ozarks has to offer."
