Clarence Newton Burnett, 76, of Roach, Missouri passed away Friday, May 4, 2018 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach, Missouri. 

Clarence was born January 22, 1942 in Mt. Sterling, Illinois. He was the son of Melvin and Lucille (Hill) Burnett. 

On June 20, 1981 in Waynesville, Missouri Clarence married Teresa White. They enjoyed a large family during their thirty-six years together. Clarence was a loving and devoted husband, and a wonderfully caring father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his children and their families. He will be sorely missed by all. 

Clarence retired from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class (E-7) after twenty-two years of service. His foreign service included Korea, Germany and Vietnam.  After retirement, he went on his career to become a chef at Ft. Leonardwood and traveled the country as a truck driver. His hobbies included fishing, sport shooting, coin collecting, his dogs and maintaining his yard. Clarence was a lifetime member of the 40/8 clubs of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Clarence is survived by his sons: Keith Allen White and wife, Kathi, of Cabool, Missouri and Kevin Lee Luttrell and wife, Hazel of Fredericksburg, Virginia; his daughter Valeriee Kay Brashear and husband, Jimmy of Camdenton, Missouri; three grandsons, Tobias and Nick Pickering and Cody White; four granddaughters Mindy Brashear, Sarah Herndon, Sally Anne and Dina Powell; his sister, Karen Katzenberger and husband, Floyd of Mt. Sterling, Illinois and one great grandson, Elijah James Brashear; along with several other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa on March 27, 2018 and his parents Melvin and Lucille.
