Lake of the Ozarks Watershed Alliance Kayak Meet Up will soon be reopening for the season at ha Ha Tonka State Park.

Dates for this season will be the second Saturday of the month — May 12, June 9, July 14, August 11 and September 8. From 8:30 a.m.-noon, stop by the kayak steps on Lake of the Ozarks at Ha Ha Tonka State Park and join a friendly, active group supporting two of the fastest growing sports today - kayaking and stand up paddle boarding.

From newbies to pros, the meet ups are the perfect way to paddle the beautiful lake and enjoy nature on a Saturday morning. The meet up in September will a potluck.

If you don’t have a kayak or paddle board, they have equipment you can borrow at no cost and experts on hand to help. Event is free, but participants must have suitable clothing and shoes and life jacket (or borrow one).
