A Lake Ozark area teen has been charged with possessing and promoting child pornography in an investigation by the Missouri State Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control.

Michael E. Just, 17, of Four Seasons was arrested April 5, 2018 after a search warrant served at a Lake Ozark/Four Seasons address allegedly revealed child pornography video files on a laptop in Just’s bedroom. Advised of his Miranda Rights, Just admitted to downloading and viewing the files for stimulation as recently as two days prior, according to the probable cause statement filed in the case.

The search warrant was obtained after an investigation that began in late February 2018. An MSHP investigator found several video files of child pornography that a certain digital device was making available, the court document states. A search warrant was obtained to obtain the account holder and service address of the IP address of the device. The information was received March 12, 2018 and led to the search warrant served April 5.

Just was charged by Camden County Prosecutor Heather Miller with first degree promoting child pornography, from the February 23, 2018, incident of allegedly making it available, and with possession of child pornography in a second or subsequent offense on April 5, 2018. Both are Class B felonies.

According to Missouri Case.net, Just’s bond has been set at $250,000 cash-only.

A hearing in the case has not yet been set.
