Boating enthusiasts, get ready for the 21st annual Spring Harbor Hop set for May 5 hosted by the Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor Bureau. The hours for the hop are 11 a.m.-7 p.m., except for some establishments will open at 9 a.m. and close at 5 p.m. Go to for a full list of locations and hours.

The Spring Harbor Hop, traditionally, is held the first Saturday of May. The Lake of the Ozarks Convention & Visitor Bureau sponsors the Spring Harbor Hop as well as the Fall Harbor Hop, held the second Saturday in October. Other sponsors include the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association and waterfront restaurants.

The Harbor Hop is a boating event in which participants “hop” from and to waterfront restaurants and marinas to draw playing cards to build a poker hand and become eligible to win prizes. Players can start their hop and draw their first card at any of the 40+ sponsoring restaurants and marinas along the Lake’s main channel, the Big Niangua and Gravois arms.

“This Harbor Hop is a great way to start the summer season. It is the perfect excuse to grab friends and family and head to the Lake,” Tim Jacobsen, Executive Director for the Lake of the Ozarks Convention and Visitor Bureau, said. “At the Harbor Hop, we can guarantee a good time. We invite everyone to come join the fun and enjoy our beautiful Lake by boat or by car.” For more information, visit or call 1-800-FUN-LAKE.
