Jessica Biel, actress and wife of entertainer Justin Timberlake, visited Tuscumbia in August 2016 for an upcoming episode of “Who Do You Think You Are?”

This TLC show follows top celebrities as they navigate through incredibly personal journeys to unlock the mysteries of their ancestors, through genealogical research. “Whether inspiring, courageous, or tragic, what’s discovered is sure to change each participant’s life forever,” explains the show’s website.

In this episode, Biel hunts for the truth behind family lore surrounding the death of an ancestor, and along the way makes two shocking discoveries that shake everything she knows about her heritage.

Biel apparently has some family history in Miller County and visited the Miller County Historical Society for information about her family’s past. What that past entails has to of course wait for the show to air. The episode will be presented April 2, 2017.

The Miller County Museum made the announcement on its Facebook page March 21, saying they finally had network approval to release that Biel had been there. “It was a joy to meet her, and be here for the filming. Make sure your DVR's are ready,” the announcement stated.
