According to a press release from Mid County Fire Protection District, they were dispatched to the scene of a residential structure fire in the 900 block of Forbes Road at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 10.

A structure fire south of Camdenton Tuesday evening was contained to the rear of the building.

According to a press release from Mid County Fire Protection District, they were dispatched to the scene of a residential structure fire in the 900 block of Forbes Road at 4:45 p.m. Jan. 10. 

First arriving units found the rear of the structure fully involved in fire with flames extending through the roof.  Units began an interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control within approximately 30 minutes.  The fire damage was contained to the rear of the structure with smoke and heat damage throughout the structure, the press release states.  

The MCFPD responded with two engines, four tankers and a squad. Mid County was assisted on the scene by an engine from Osage Beach and an engine from Sunrise Beach. There were no injuries because of the fire.  

According to the MCFPD, the structure was not the primary residence of the owner and no one was displaced due to the fire. 

The investigation revealed that the fire originated in the area where the main electrical service entered the house and is listed as accidental.  

All units cleared the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m.
