2016 Halloween events listing for the Lake of the Ozarks

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 27

Event: ZOMBIE WASTELAND (OCT. 27-31)

WHERE: 1159 N. Business Hwy. 5 in Camdenton, next to Malarkeys.

TIME: Open every Thursday-Saturday starting October 8th, the Zombie Wasteland Haunted House is $10 to enter. Half of all ticket sales will go to the Kids’ Harbor Child Advocacy Center. The haunted house is located at 1159 N. Business Hwy. 5 in Camdenton, next to Malarkeys. For more information, call 573-836-1519.

Event: HY-VEE HOLLOW TRICK OR TREAT

WHERE: Hy-Vee parking lot

TIME: 4-7 p.m.

Businesses will be set up in the parking lot passing out candy and other treats. Cost to get into the event is $2 per child. Business can purchase a spot for a $100 donation, plus must bring treats to pass out. Proceeds will go to Wonderland Camp and The Dream Factory. The event has raised as much as $10,000 for charity. FRIDAY, OCTOBER 28

Event: THE HAUNTED HOLLER (OCT. 28 & 29)

WHERE: Located at 651 Hiland Cir., Osage Beach, one mile down D Road.  

TIME: 8 p.m.-midnight

Take a thrilling walk in the Haunted Holler, a 1/4-mile trail with scary clowns, a butcher shop and zombies. Admission is $10 per person. The Holler will be open on the Sunday of Halloween weekend.

Event: LAKER TRUNK OR TREAT

WHERE: Camdenton High School

TIME: 6-8 pm

Provided by local businesses and organizations. A chili cook-off will be held from 6-7 p.m. Winners announced at 7 p.m. There will be a costume contest and fun activities. For questions email acrocker@camdentonschools.org. 

Event: NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

WHERE: Morgan County Museum in Versailles 

TIME:  Spooky Tours will be given at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on both Friday, Oct. 28, and Saturday, Oct. 29. Tickets are $10 per person, and can be purchased at Tanglez Salon, Versailles Barber Shop and the Chamber of Commerce. Prepare to see the Museum like you've never seen it before!

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 29

Event: THE SCARE/TRICK OR TREAT

WHERE: Dierbergs, Osage Beach 

TIME: 2-5 pm

Wear your costume, face painting, trick or treating throughout the store and lots more!!

Event:  TRUNK OR TREAT

WHERE: Morgan County at the Fairgrounds Livestock Barn  

TIME: 6-8pm

For kids 12 years and under, come in costume, receive a wristband for participation. Parents bring your cameras and kids bring your trick-or-treat bag for candy and giveaways. Prizes for costume categories. Contact Stefanie Pryor at Morgan County Health Department  573-378-5438, ext. 234.

Event:  CAVE PUMPKIN PATCH (OCT. 29 & 30)

WHERE: 123 Swinging Bridges Rd., Brumley  

TIME: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Enjoy a corn crib, duck race, water balloon sling shot, pumpkin painting, sandbox, barrel train, playground, bounce house, hay rides, hay maze, and much more. Private events and field trips are welcome to call to reserve a time. Cost is $6 per person (ages two and above) and includes admission into the cave. Event: MECCA PUMPKIN PATCH

WHERE: 425 Delmar in Roach 

Open on the weekends during the month of October, the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch and Fall Attractions is a great way to spend the day with family. The 180-acre farm is located at 425 Delmar in Roach. They’ve planted thousands of pumpkin seeds earlier this year so there’s plenty of pumpkins to choose from. The $5 admission gets you into a variety of attractions including a big slide, corn cannon, petting zoo, hay rides, maize walk, corn crib and other fun activities. Event: SPOOK NIGHT

WHERE: Sunrise Beach Little Theatre

TIME: 4-7 pm

It’s a free fun evening of Trick or Treating for the whole family by costumed characters complete with interactive haunting stations. Held at the Sunrise Beach Community Center off of Hwy. 5. 

Event: HALLOWEEN ON THE STRIP

WHERE: Bagnell Dam Strip

TIME: 2-4 pm

Games and contests will be held at Luby’s Plaza. To participate in the pumpkin decorating/carving contest, bring your decorated pumpkin at 1:30 p.m., judging will take place at 2 p.m. and the winner is announced at 4 p.m. A costume contest will be held at 4 p.m. with cash prizes in each category given in various age groups. A pie eating contest immediately follows the costume contest for adults and kids.

Event: HALLOWEEN PARTY

WHERE: Osage Beach Senior Center

TIME: 5-9 p.m. at the center behind KRMS radio. Cost is $10 per person and includes appetizers and snacks. There will be a costume contest with a $25 first prize. Music will be provided by John Wright Mobile Entertainment. There will also be a 50/50 drawing at $1 per ticket or six for $5. For more information, call Lisa Hill at 573-348-2909 for reservations. Event: FALL HAY RIDES

WHERE: Lodge of Four Seasons

TIME: Every Saturday through November 5, the Lodge of Four Seasons in Lake Ozark hosts fall hayrides and s’mores. A bonfire and pumpkins for the kids will be offered. Cost is $5 per person.
