Ethan E. Denman received minor injuries in the two-vehicle accident that occurred east of Norgrass Rd.
A Versailles man was among six people injured in a crash on Highway 50 in Moniteau County Thursday evening.
Ethan E. Denman received minor injuries in the two-vehicle accident that occurred east of Norgrass Rd. The 25-year-old was the driver of a Ford E-350 that was struck while stopped in traffic, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Earl L. Van Doren, 58, of Dixon, Mo. was driving a Hyundai Accent east on Highway 50 around 6:54 p.m. Oct. 29 when he rear-ended the van which was facing east, the crash report states. The van was apparently a Morgan County Jail van, and Denman was a jailer transporting inmates.
Denman was taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City for treatment. Four inmates in the van were also injured and were taken by ambulance to St. Mary’s as well.
Saeng Anouphouthi, 42, of Olathe, Kan.; Christian I. Carrillo-Lopez, 23, of Independence; and Cosma W. Griffin-Kendrick, 39, of Columbia had minor injuries, while Jane G. Odipo, 38, of Lenexa, Kan. suffered moderate injuries.
Van Doren received moderate injuries as well and was taken by ambulance to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The crash report indicated everyone in the van was wearing a seat belt. It is unknown whether Van Doren was wearing a seat belt.
