New Camdenton High School graduate Mitchel Summers has been involved with Scouting for a large portion of his life, starting all the way back in first grade when he was a Tiger Cub Scout.

He also contributed many hours to his community, and nothing shows that better than his Eagle Project.

Mitchel built folding picnic benches that were placed underneath a shelter another fellow Eagle built at the United Methodist Church in Laurie.

"It's a great honor," said Mitchel. "I've been very privileged to have the people I've had support me in my Scouting career. I've made many memories that I will hold dear to myself forever, and I will always be proud of achieving Scoutings greatest honor."

Mitchel will be having his Eagle Scout Court of Honor at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23 in the basement of the Bank of Versailles in Greenview.
