The Osage Indians baseball team finished out their last home game on Tuesday night, hosting the Blair Oaks Falcons.

The visiting Falcons knocked off both the Indians and the California Pintos in a doubleheader at Osage, scoring a total of 27 runs on the night.

Osage proved to be little trouble for the strong Falcons, scoring in every inning for a 14-4 win in just under five innings. Osage scored two runs in the second and third innings, with Taylor Margetts hitting a home run.

The Indians will play once more in the regular season, a Thursday night match at Southern Boone, before heading to districts on Saturday.

The Camdenton Lakers have struggled in their last two matches against two Ozark Conference rivals, losing their last two consecutive matches by just two runs each.

The Lakers hosted the Hillcrest Hornets on Thursday, May 2, and despite leading through the first four innings, the team couldn't hold on, giving up three runs in the fifth inning and another one in the top of the sixth, losing 4-2.

Dylan Hymes had the only RBI, while Tyler Cunningham had a double in the match. Jake Decker had three strikeouts on the night, while Cory Simpson finished the night with one strikeout.

In their Monday night road match against Parkview, the Lakers faced off against the Vikings. Evenly matched throughout the first three innings, Parkview took the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning, scoring six runs.

Camdenton retaliated in the top of the fifth, scoring two runs, but Parkview added one more two their total for a 7-2 lead going into the sixth. With neither side able to score through the sixth, Camdenton's only chance of a comeback lay on the line in the top of the seventh inning. The Lakers mustered up three runs, falling short of tying the game by a margin of two runs.

John McRoberts led the Lakers with two RBI's, while senior Dylan Hymes finished the night with one.

The Lakers are now 8-10 on the season, and now prepare for their first district matchup at Jefferson City, taking on the Jays on Saturday, May 11 at 3:30 p.m.


The Camdenton Lady Lakers will enter the post-season tournament with either a 14-7 or 15-6 win after Thursday night.

Coming off of a 6-1 win at Lebanon earlier in the week, the Lady Lakers will finish up their regular season play at home Thursday night, hosting Bolivar.

The Lady Lakers end Ozark Conference play with a 7-2 record, and will enter in to the Class 3 District 10 tournament as the number two seed. Camdenton will begin their play on Monday, May 13 at Lebanon, where they will take on the number three seeded Waynesville Tigers.
