School of the Osage 9th grade wrestler Kalli LaFrance will be traveling to Oklahoma City to compete in nationals for the second year in a row.

LaFrance is wrestling her best at the right time of the season, at the state tournament, where she put on an impressive display with two first round technical fall victories against an Illinois opponent in 1:38 and a 46 second win against an Oklahoma wrestler who had placed seventh in the nation last year. LaFrance wrestled the Oklahoma wrestler last year at nationals, in which she pulled off a stunning victory with a pin in the last 15 seconds to move on to the national tournament.

After placing fourth in the U.S. last year and being named the Missouri state champion this year, LaFrance should be ranked in the top five, and possibly the top 3 in the nation for nationals at Oklahoma City on March 29-31.

LaFrance will be coached at nationals by Amy Likes, a Wyoming USA coach.
