Advance registration required for July 13 class at Camdenton Christian Church

University of Missouri Extension will be offering an “It’s So Easy to Preserve” session on home canning the safe way.
To make the most of your garden’s delights this summer, it is important to have up-to-date food preservation information.  
Processing fruits and vegetables using outdated methods may not give you the best quality and may be unsafe to eat.
The USDA and University of Missouri Extension are credible sources to provide information on food preservation to consumers.
Home canning the safe way will feature information on boiling water bath canning vs. pressure canning, instructions for pressure canning to ensure a safe and high-quality product, and a hands-on demonstration of pressure canning green beans.
This program will be held on Tuesday, July 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Community Christian Church in Camdenton.
The cost is $10 to cover food preservation handouts and supplies.
