A 17-year-old from Lake Ozark was injured when the PWC he was riding was struck by a boat Saturday afternoon.
According to the Missouri State Water Patrol report, John Overbey was riding a PWC near the 11-mile marker about 3 p.m., jumping wakes created by a cruiser.
The report states Overbey went into the path of a 43-foot Skater operated by Eric Casperson of Norman, Okla. The Skater “was traveling at an excessive speed and struck the PWC,” according to the report.
Overbey suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital.
