Ernest Venis of Camdenton has been elected Flotilla Commander
Lake Ozark Flotilla 30-02 of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary which meets in Eldon, MO is pleased to announce the following flotilla election results and appointments for 2010.
Ernest Venis of Camdenton has been elected as the Flotilla Commander. Cecil Layton of Springfield, Mo., has been elected as Vice Flotilla Commander. Jeremy Amick of Centertown, Mo., has been appointed as Flotilla Public Affairs Officer, Member Training Officer and Materials Officer. Sandra Layton of Springfield, Mo., has been appointed as Flotilla Secretary/Records Officer. Jim Cameron of Eldon has been appointed as the Flotilla Personnel Services Officer and Program Visitor Officer. Sandra Venis of Camdenton has been appointed as Flotilla Finance Officer. John Brandt of Steedman, Mo., has been appointed as Flotilla Navigation Services Officer.

The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary is composed of uniformed, non-military volunteer civilians who assist the Coast Guard in all of its varied missions, except for military and direct law enforcement. These men and women can be found on the nation’s waterways, in classrooms and on the dock, performing safety patrols, vessel safety examinations and public education. The 27,000+ members of the Coast Guard Auxiliary donate millions of hours annually in support of Coast Guard missions.
