There’s no where to go but up. The annual winter drawdown is over for Lake of the Ozarks. While there may some minor fluctuations, the water level is currently sitting at 654.2 feet above sea level. It is expected to remain there until the spring rains begin their flow into the watershed.
According to AmerenUE property owners will begin to see a significant rise in the lake level starting around April 15. It will continue through May with the goal of having the lake level near or at full pool of 660 feet above sea level for boating season.
The winter drawdown is an annual event to make way for late winter and spring rains that flow into the Lake of the Ozarks watershed. Flow coming from the Truman Dam and Reservoir accounts for more than 80 percent of the water in the lake. The remaining water flows in from tributaries.
