Camden County, Mo. —

The Harlem Ambassadors invaded the Camdenton High School gym Sunday to put on a basketball game that turned into a dance party.
The game was filled with the Ambassadors Harlem-style antics, loud upbeat music, dancing, games and some basketball was played as well. The game was held to raise money for Habitat for Humanity as well as the Optimist Club.
“We sold about 600 tickets, but would have loved to have sold 1,000 tickets.” said Habitat for Humanity president Tom Reth. “I hope that the crowd had fun.”
Camdenton Laker footall assistant coach Jeff Shore was one of many members of the Camdenton National All Star Team that the Ambassadors had some fun with.
“It was a good time for a good cause and I would love to do it again. The best part of the game was when I got to pull my shorts back down.” Shore explained about when the Ambassadors pulled his shorts up past his belly button.
One rule the Ambassadors impliment into their games is for every air-ball the opponent shoots, that player has to do five pushups. The Ambassadors had a rule about an air ball and what had to been done if you threw and air ball.
Lade Majic, the coach for the Ambassadors was also the emcee of the event. Majic is one of the co-founders and has this to say about the squad and returning to Missouri.
“To be a Harlem Ambassador, the performers must have a college degree and be drug free. I am a  University of Missouri alumnus and there is so much love here in Missouri.”
