Camdenton's girls soccer team suffered a bruising 1-0 loss to Glendale on Thursday night.
Glendale out-shot the Lady Lakers 8-4 in a physical match that featured three significant injuries, two yellow cards, and foul counts in the double digits for both teams.
"It's always physical, that's just the way it is. Anybody in the Ozark Conference plays physical, so we were used to it, we were ready for it, and we took our lumps, too. We are banged up, everybody is banged up, that's just the way it goes," Camdenton coach J.D. Hunter said.
Glendale scored its game winning goal in the 62nd minute of the match on a rebound. The Falcons fired a shot into an open net after drawing Lady Lakers goalkeeper Sandra Shore out to defend the previous breakaway attempt.
The loss marks the third time this season Camdenton has fallen to its opponent by a 1-0 score. Camdenton moves to 3-3 with its next game Tuesday at home against Waynesville.
