This free fishing program helps Missourians gain skills and confidence to go fishing on their own. There will be four classes offered and you must take the first lesson before registering for any one of the other three. Adults must accompany youth.

Osage Beach Parks and Recreation will be co-sponsoring a second session of the Discover Nature Fishing Clinic with the Missouri Department of Conservation.

This free fishing program helps Missourians gain skills and confidence to go fishing on their own. There will be four classes offered and you must take the first lesson before registering for any one of the other three. Adults must accompany youth.

The classes will be Tuesdays starting September 18th from 5:30-7:30 p.m., at the Osage Beach City Park Lake Front towards the back of the park. Equipment will be provided and all registrants for this event must be 7-15 years of age by 9-18-2018.

-September 18th, 5:30-7:30 p.m: Lesson 1- Casting and proper fish handling

-September 25th, 5:30-7:30 p.m: Lesson 2- How to tie a knot and bait a hook

-October 2nd, 5:30-7:30 p.m: Lesson 3- Five common Missouri fish

-October 8th, 5:30-7:30 p.m: Lesson 4- Fishing with lures and fishing regulations
