The cruise continues for Camdenton.
The Lakers visited Richland Tuesday night and a 7-2 win over the Bears marked the program's fourth straight win. In those four matches, Camdenton has outscored its opponents 28 to 2.
That stretch has also been good to Darby Roam as the Laker senior has gone unbeaten in singles and doubles play at the top of the lineup with eight straight wins, only giving up five games in singles over her last three matches and three games in doubles over that same time. Thursday night, Roam won her singles match 8-2 and her sophomore teammate Haley Hultz helped to keep that streak alive as the duo picked up an 8-0 sweep in the doubles round.
Meanwhile, sophomore Katelyn McGuire was an 8-3 winner in singles while Hultz (8-2), sophomore Victoria Watson (8-2) and senior Katie Blackman (8-3) all picked up wins as well. Senior Jessica Watson came up short in an 8-3 defeat. In doubles play, the duo of Victoria and McGuire fell in a tight 8-6 match while Jessica and Blackman took down their opponents 8-3.
Camdenton (4-1, 3-1 Ozark Conference) is set to visit Osage on Monday for a Lake area battle at 4:30 p.m.
