Camdenton volleyball tops West Plains in two sets

Camdenton made quick work of a long road trip to West Plains Thursday night as the Lakers topped the Ozark Conference foe in two sets, 25-11 and 25-16.

Camdenton senior Natalie Basham led the kill department with 13 to lead the charge while sophomore Sydney Smith added four kills of her own to go with four aces and 11 assists.

Meanwhile, the defensive effort saw Basham record five digs while fellow senior Lizzie Miller and sophomore Olivia Whittle added four each and senior Sabrina Seschnol put up two blocks.

Camdenton (3-1, 1-0 Ozark Conference) will host Lake area neighbor Osage on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Eldon drops three-set battle to California

Eldon was on the road Thursday night in California and the Mustangs suffered their first loss of the season in a three-set defeat at the hands of the Pintos.

California captured the first set 25-20, Eldon won the second 25-16 and the Pintos took the deciding finale 25-21.

Eldon (3-1, 0-1 Tri-County Conference) is scheduled to be in the Fulton Tournament on Saturday and the Mustangs will return to the floor on Tuesday with a trip to Blair Oaks at 5 p.m.
