Indians take care of business on Senior Night
There was plenty to celebrate when Osage hosted Lebanon at Osage National Golf Club Tuesday night.
It was the home and season opener for the Indians and it also happened to be Senior Night, being the best opportunity for most parents to come out to the course. Osage did not disappoint as they outshot the Yellowjackets 213 to 234.
“We played well for our first meet. The girls played at or better than where they were last season,” Osage coach L.J. Weeks said. “I think with some more focus on putting and short game, their scores will improve even more.”
Emily Maher and Sydney Riley tied for the low-round for Osage with a score of 50 while Destiny Drake carded a 56, Maddie Yoder shot a 57 and Chloe Dehner added a 59.
“We have three wonderful seniors this year (Drake, Maher and Dehner) and it was an honor to celebrate them and their successes,” Weeks said.
Osage will return to action on Wednesday for the Helias Tournament at 9 a.m.
