Coach Shockley comes to OHS from Lockwood High School where he has served as the Athletic Director, Special Education P.E. teacher and head boys’ basketball coach for the last four seasons.

School of the Osage is proud to announce the hiring of Aaron Shockley as the new head boys’ basketball coach.

Coach Shockley comes to OHS from Lockwood High School where he has served as the Athletic Director, Special Education P.E. teacher and head boys’ basketball coach for the last four seasons. At Lockwood, Shockley’s teams went 72-35 earning one conference championship, one district championship and making three straight district championship appearances.

Prior to coaching at Lockwood, Shockley was the assistant varsity boys’ basketball coach and head junior varsity coach at Springfield Catholic from 2010 to 2012. In addition to coaching boys’ basketball, Shockley also coached football from 2014 to 2018 making a Final Four appearance last season.

Shockley graduated from Warsaw High School in 2006 and received his bachelors in P.E. and Health from the University of Central Oklahoma. He will be graduating from Arkansas State this August with a Masters in Educational Leadership.

Shockley will be teaching physical education at the high school and will also be an assistant football coach. He and his wife Emily, who is a nurse, have a three-year-old son named Hayden.
