Osage and Camdenton fall in first round of districts
Osage falls in districts to St. James
Osage took on St. James in the first round of the Class 2 District 9 Tournament at Fulton on Tuesday and fell by a final score of 5-2.
Karlie Minnehan scored both goals for the Indians on assists from Rachel Ciccerelli and Chance Estrada while keeper Payton Good made seven saves.
“St. James had two forwards that were among the fastest players I’ve seen all season,” said Osage assistant Jonathan Rembold, who filled in coaching duties for Danielle Lutz who was on maternity leave. “We played well, but just could not keep consistent possession in the midfield. For our first season I was incredibly proud of the girls. Our seniors will be missed, but things are looking very promising for next year.”
Osage concludes the season at 6-16-1.
Camdenton comes up short in district battle with Helias
Camdenton began the postseason against Helias Catholic Monday night in the Class 3 District 13 Tournament at Fulton and the Crusaders delivered a tough 3-1 season ending defeat. The Lakers finish the year at 10-10-1.
