Tiger girls finish fourth and boys place fifth

Versailles' postseason began on Saturday at the Class 3 District 7 meet in Holden where the Tigers took on 11 other schools in a quest to move on to sectionals. 

Versailles was successful in that endeavor. The girls placed fourth out of 12 schools with a team score of 91, trailing only Holden (136), Odessa (118) and Lamar (95). Meanwhile, the boys placed fifth with 86.5 points behind Lamar (156), Stockton (96), Odessa (94) and Clinton (89.5). 

Versailles will look to send as many athletes to state as possible when the Tigers head to Odessa for sectionals on Saturday.

-Pole Vault: Hannah Whan (3rd) 8 feet and 6 inches
