It was a good night for Camdenton.
The Lakers hosted Ozark Conference foe Waynesville and Iberia for a tri-meet on Wednesday and the home team came out on top with a team score of 188 while Iberia finished second with 200 and Waynesville posted a 212.
Spencer Melville led the Lakers with a 43 and earned the title of match medalist. The medalist for the junior varsity was Ridge Smith with a 53.
"It felt good to get a match win today with the varsity and junior varsity," Camdenton coach Shawn Maschino said. "We've been close a number of times. We have a couple of our junior varsity players that are playing well and showing some good improvement late in the year. We are coming down the homestretch to districts and it's that time of the year where we should be playing good golf."
Up next for Camdenton is the Ozark Conference Tournament on Monday at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield at 9 a.m.
