The golfers of Versailles returned to their home course at Rolling Hills on Thursday afternoon for a quad with Missouri Military Academy, Wheatland and Eugene.
The Tigers and MMA were the only two schools that had enough golfers to put up team scores and the home team took care of business, outpacing MMA 202 to 230 to improve to 2-0.
Versailles junior Ori Bartlett was runner-up medalist with a 43 with two pars and a birdie. Freshman Joel Faron posted his best score of the season with a 52, junior Garrett Boatright came in with a 53, freshman Kyle Bartlett added a 54 and fellow freshman Ben Dornan posted a 57. Both freshmen also posted their lowest rounds.
"I was really proud of the young first year players as they have improved so much in such a short time. However, with only two weeks left in the regular season, a lot of work still needs to be done," Versailles coach Chuck Campbell noted. "Hopefully, we get good weather and can get some quality practices in the next few weeks."
Up next for the Tigers is a trip to the Sacred Heart Invitational on Monday at 10 a.m.
