The classes will be the first four Tuesdays in May from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Osage Beach City Park Lake Front. Equipment will be provided and all ages are welcome to attend.

Osage Beach Parks and Recreation will be co-sponsoring a Discover Nature Fishing Clinic with the Missouri Department of Conservation this year!

This free fishing program helps Missourians gain skills and confidence to go fishing on their own. There will be four classes offered and you must take the first lesson before registering for any one of the other three.

LESSON 1- Equipment, casting and proper fish handling

-May 1st, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

LESSON 2- How to tie a knot and bait a hook

-May 8th, 5 p.m., to 8 p.m.

LESSON 3- Five common Missouri fish

-May 15th, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

LESSON 4- Fishing with lures and fishing regulations

-May 22nd, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
