The journey for School of the Osage has got off to a good start in 2018 as the Indians opened the season with a pair of wins over Laquey and Moberly.

The Indians kicked things off in their home opener against Laquey on Monday and shutout the visitors 2-0. After a scoreless first half, Chance Estrada put Osage on the board with an assist from Emily Kostuke and Emily Maher added an insurance goal on an assist from Rachel Cicerelli.

Osage was on the road Tuesday night at Moberly and had little trouble taking care of the Spartans in another shutout by a final score of 3-0. Kostuke scored twice with assists from Karlie Minnehan and Cicerelli and Cicerelli also found the back of the net with an assist from Kostuke.

Meanwhile, keeper Payton Good maintained a clean sheet in both contests with six total saves and will look to keep it that way going forward.

Osage (2-0) will host Father Tolton on Thursday night at 5 p.m.
