Versailles tipped off postseason play in Cole Camp Wednesday night in a first round game with Knob Noster and the Tigers secured a 62-49 win over the Panthers to advance to the district semifinals.

Knob Noster had the early advantage, leading 16-14 after the first quarter, but it was all Versailles the rest of the night as they matched or outscored the Panthers in each of the following quarters.

The Tigers enjoyed a balanced attack offensively as Coby Williams led the way with 14 points, Wyatt Espinosa finished with 13, Jonathon Geier and Brayden Morrison both added 10 and Ayrton Gennetten chipped in nine.

Versailles (14-12) will face Sherwood on Friday at 6 p.m., with a shot at the title on the line for Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
