Camdenton takes down Bolivar for tournament title
Camdenton ended its regular season on a good note Monday night at Bolivar.
The regular season matchup also served as the championship of the Gary Keeling Liberator Tournament due to inclement weather and the Lakers came through with a 76-61 win. It was also the 100th win of Camdenton coach Staci Caffey’s reign with the Lakers.
“After a loss to Marshfield, it was good to see the girls come out with confidence and play together,” Caffey said. “We are fired up and ready for districts.”
Coley Rezabek and Kylie Meier led the charge for Camdenton as they both finished with 17 points and eight rebounds. Darby Roam finished with 11, Abbie Miller added 10, Natalie Basham put up 10 points and six assists and Blair Kurtz recorded five steals. Caffey said she was also pleased with Jessica Watson who got fouled on a 3-pointer and stepped up and made her free throws at a key point in the game.
Camdenton (17-7, 7-2 Ozark Conference) will take on the winner of Springfield Central and Lebanon in the semifinals of the district tournament at Willard on Monday at 6 p.m.
