Eldon visited Warsaw for a Tri-County Conference showdown with the Wildcats Friday night and the home team managed to pull away for a 63-54 win over the Mustangs.

“It was a very competitive game. We had to foul late and to their kids’ credit, they stepped up and made some free throws down the stretch,” Eldon coach Brandon Kliethermes said. We have to do a better job of finishing in the paint and capitalizing on other teams’ mistakes. We were 10 for 25 inside the paint (40 percent) and that is not going to cut it.”

Jordan Metz paced Eldon with 21 points while Devin Degraffenreid and Elijah Rivera both added 11 and Logan Hall finished with seven.

Eldon (0-20, 0-3 Tri-County Conference) will visit Blair Oaks on Tuesday night at 5 p.m.
