Versailles knocks off state-ranked St. Paul

Versailles was on the road Tuesday night in Concordia to take on Class 3 No. 9 state-ranked St. Paul Lutheran and the Tigers took care of business with a 73-70 win.

Versailles held a 34-31 lead at halftime and never let it escape as they held on the rest of the way.

Coby Williams led the Tigers with 25 points and seven rebounds, Wyatt Espinosa knocked down 23 points and Jonathon Geier finished the night with 21 points respectively.

Versailles improves to 10-9 on the season and will visit Osage on Friday for a Tri-County Conference battle at 5 p.m.

Osage falls at Skyline

The Osage boys’ basketball team visited Skyline Tuesday night and fell 50-38.

The Indians (9-10) will host Versailles on Friday at 5 p.m.

Macks Creek comes up short at Richland

The Macks Creek boys’ basketball team was at Richland Tuesday night and came home with a 74-53 defeat.

The Pirates (6-12) will visit Wheatland on Friday at 5:30 p.m.
