Eldon outlasts Fulton in overtime battle as Halderman scores 1,500th point

It was a milestone night for Eldon senior Macie Halderman who paced the Mustangs with a double-double, scoring 38 points while collecting 10 rebounds and swiping away six steals. The senior also scored her 1,500th point in the process. Meanwhile, sophomore Kayleigh Fike finished her night with 12 points for Eldon and fellow sophomore Lauren Imler knocked down eight points respectively.
The Mustangs shot 35 percent from the floor and did most of their damage inside the arc while finishing 68 percent as a team from the free throw line.

Osage topples Richland
Osage claimed revenge Tuesday night as the Indians beat Osage Tournament champs Richland on the road 46-40 in overtime.
Osage, which had used a full court press the entire night, shut down the Bears in the overtime period, outscoring the opponent 8-2 to create the final margin.
"This would be our fifth game in seven days and I was concerned that our legs would be gone pretty quickly. Since we had just lost to Richland three days before, a change in strategy was in order," Osage coach Scott Rowland said. "Regrettably, that was going to be full court man pressure. Credit to our girls, they got after it full court for the entire game and I really feel that made a huge difference in the outcome."
Kerrigan Gamm finished with 11 points for the Indians while both Rose Colonius and Carson Wood added 10.
"Rose came up big hitting a jump shot off an offensive rebound and then going 4-4 from the (free throw) line," Rowland said of the overtime period. "Coupled with Carson making both of hers, Richland was never able to anything going.
“I was very pleased with the effort that was put forth last night. Not a single kid that played had even an average defensive night and that should carry us forward in a good way," the coach added.
Osage (13-4, 1-1 Tri-County Conference) will host Cuba Thursday night at 6 p.m.
