The grapplers of Camdenton were in dual action over the weekend as the Lakers competed in the Diamond State Dual Tournament in Springdale, Ark. The Lakers finished 1-1, topping Fort Smith Southside 76 to 6 and falling to Springdale Har-Ber 43 to 24.
Dakota Boller picked up a forfeit victory to start things off in the 152-pound weight class against Fort Smith Southside while Caleb Cloyde (170), Bryce Leuenberger (182), Jake Thoenen (195), Gabe Blain (285) and Corbin Hicks (220) also picked up wins via forfeit.
Meanwhile, Angelo Alfano (160), Dustin Curry (106), Hicks (113), Steve Daniel (126), Logan Harmon (132) and Blake Namkham-Raube (138) all picked up pins and Dane Lapine (145) won a 10-2 major decision.
The second bout was a little tougher for the Lakers. Ryan Rothove (132) won a 5-0 decision to put Camdenton on the board while Blake Lapine (152), Leuenberger (170) and Grant Garrett (106) all picked up pins and Jacob Fuglsang (113) grinded out a 3-2 decision.
Camdenton was scheduled to host a triangular with Helias and Rock Bridge on Tuesday and will host Republic and Neosho on January 9.
