Lakers fall in Pink and White Quarterfinals
Camdenton took on Fair Grove in a quarterfinal battle of the Pink and White Tournament on Wednesday night and the Lakers fell by a final score of 81 to 60.
It was a game of runs as the Lakers trailed by seven at one point and led by 10 at another. However, Fair Grove made one final push to create the margin.
"We played a strong first half went into halftime with a 10-point lead, but came out flat and did not take care of the ball," Camdenton coach Staci Caffey said. "We had too many turnovers and did not shut down the players we needed to. This was a hard loss, but on the positive side I have no doubt we will learn from it and move on."Kylie Meier led the Lakers once again with 18 points and seven rebounds while Coley Rezabek put up 17 points and six rebounds and Shelby Kurtz added 11 points of her own.
Camdenton (6-3) was scheduled to face Jonesboro on Thursday.
