Lakers win first round of Pink & White Tournament

Camdenton has showed no signs of rust so far during the holidays.

The Lakers got right back to work after Christmas Tuesday night and picked up their third straight win, defeating Spokane 70-54 in the first round of the Pink and White Tournament in Springfield.

Camdenton opened up a 42-20 lead at halftime and never looked back as Kylie Meier had a big night offensively with a team-leading 28 points while Coley Rezabek chipped in 22 for the Lakers.

Camdenton improved to 6-2 on the season with the win. The Lakers were scheduled to face Fair Grove in the next round Wednesday night at 9 p.m. Should they win, they will face the winner of Republic and Jonesboro in the semifinals on Thursday night at 8:30 p.m.
