Eldon made a short trip up Highway 54 for the Capital City Shootout in Jefferson City on Saturday and ran into a tough South Callaway team that sent the Mustangs home with an 80-34 defeat.
“We have to clean up our unforced turnovers and take more shots. South Callaway is a very nice and talented team, who I believe is going to be very tough down the stretch,” Eldon coach Ashley Agee stated. “When you play teams like that, you cannot allow yourself to have numerous mental mistakes. We did a better job in the second half of executing the goals we set for ourselves. We just have to do an all-around better job and stop allowing turnovers and mental errors.”
Macie Halderman paced Eldon with 18 points and six rebounds on the day.
Eldon (2-8) will look to get back on track Tuesday night when Buffalo comes to town at 6 p.m.
