Osage has continued to stay hot.
The Indians hosted Hallsville in Tri-County Conference action Thursday night and dispatched the visiting Indians in two sets by final scores of 25-12 and 25-18. Osage has won 10 straight regular season games with a second place finish in the Rolla Tournament on September 23.
Karli Kempf paced the attack with seven kills while Carson Wood added five and Cecilia Verslues led the serves with 13 and an ace.
The winning streak has been enjoyable, but Coach Travis Squire said the focus is on the tasks ahead. Osage (12-1, 3-1 Tri-County) was slated to visit a Bolivar team on Monday that is a district opponent and will visit California for a conference showdown on Thursday before the Versailles Tournament over the weekend.
“Bolivar has been much improved over the last year,” Squire said ahead of Monday night’s matchup. “We have a big conference match at California and following that will be the Versailles Tournament where we are looking to make a great showing.”
The Indians and Pintos are scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m., Thursday night.
