For about three innings it was anyone’s game when Osage hosted Richland on Wednesday night.

The Indians and bears were tied up at 3 and then, the Bears poured on six runs in the fourth and went on to enjoy a 9-4 win over the host school.

Osage went right to work with three runs in the first fueled by a 2-RBI single from Liberty Gamm. Unfortunately, for Osage the nine total hits produced did not generate many more runs. Kerrigan Gamm and Paige Luttrell each posted multiple hits to keep their team fighting.

On the mound, pitcher Skyler Smith took the loss allowing 14 total hits and four walks while striking out nine.

Osage falls to 7-7 with the loss and the Indians were scheduled to visit Iberia on Thursday. Up next for Osage is the Versailles Tournament on Saturday.
