Osage bats power Indians past Buffalo
Osage did not forget to pack the bats in a trip to Buffalo Monday night as the Indians beat the Bison 11-1 in five innings.
Osage took the lead with a 3-run first inning and never looked back as the Indians totaled 11 total hits on the night. Kerrigan Gamm, Gracie Faulkner, Skyler Smith and Aly Baker all posted multiple hits and Payton Good added to the hit parade with a 2-run shot over the left field fence.
With plenty of run support and an error-free defense behind her, Smith went to work on the mound and allowed just a single run on five hits while striking out seven in five innings of work.
Osage improves to 6-5 on the season and was scheduled to visit Blair Oaks Tuesday night before hosting Vienna on Thursday at 5 p.m.
Camdenton takes down Lebanon
Camdenton visited Ozark Conference rival Lebanon Monday night and the Lakers had no trouble getting by the Yellowjackets with an 8-2 win.
Emma Rakes led the bats with three hits on the night while Haile Farris and Shelby Webster recorded two hits each. On the mound, Farris got the job done, allowing just three hits while striking out 12 Lebanon batters.
Camdenton (11-5) will host Rolla for another conference clash at 4:30 p.m.
Versailles falls at Blair Oaks
It was a tough night on the road for Versailles.
The Tigers visited conference foe Blair Oaks and the Falcons defended their home diamond with a 20-0 shutout in two innings.
Ellie Dunnaway provided the lone hit for the Tigers while the defense was plagued with nine errors. Pitcher Brooklyn James allowed four earned runs on 11 hits while walking five batters and striking out one.
Versailles (1-12) hosted Prarie Home Tuesday night and the Tigers will host Eldon on September 19 at 5 p.m.
